The CMK 1:32 resin correction set for the DH.82 Tiger Moth faithfully replaces the fuel tank in the upper wing including its corrugated sheet. The set is made for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory resin correction set from the manufacturer CMK in 1:32 scale. It is NOT an airplane kit but a detail set that replaces a part of the base kit with a more faithful rendering of the fuel tank in the upper wing. The tank was in reality made of corrugated sheet, which injection-molded plastic imitates only with difficulty, so the casting markedly raises the accuracy of the model.
The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth was a British trainer biplane of the 1930s on which whole generations of pilots trained. In the upper wing it carried a fuel tank of characteristic corrugated sheet, visible on the top surface of the wing.
Wash the mold release agent off the casting, saw the casting block off on a hard surface and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Try the part dry in the wing and adjust its seating if needed. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer for resin before painting and bring out the texture of the corrugated sheet with a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
