This is a sheet of water-slide (wet) decals with rich markings for a model of the F-14A Tomcat fighter in 1:32 scale. The set offers the markings and national insignia of the famous carrier squadron VF-41 Black Aces and makes it possible to build several color variants of one type.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing, famous for the long range of its air-to-air missiles. The VF-41 Black Aces squadron went down in history above all during the Gulf of Sidra incident in 1981, when its aircraft shot down Libyan Su-22s. The squadron badge with its black ace is among the most iconic in naval aviation.
Apply the decals over smooth gloss clear, which prevents silvering under the film. Once dry, use a softener so that the markings bed into the recesses and the panel lines, and finally fix everything with a coat of clear in the degree of gloss you want. Work with a sharp scalpel and a soft brush.
