This is NOT a kit. It is a resin casting from the Quickboost brand that represents the cooling air intake on the vertical tail of a model of the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter-bomber in 1:32 scale. The set is intended for the F-4E, EJ, F, J and S versions. The casting has a faithfully open inlet with an inner wall, which a plastic kit usually suggests only with a shallow depression.
The air inlet on the leading edge of the vertical tail is a characteristic feature of these Phantom versions. A resin replacement with an open mouth looks more realistic than solid plastic and it easily lifts the detail of the tail surfaces.
Wash the resin part free of mold release and cut the casting block off. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the inside of the inlet a dark shade for an impression of depth. Protect your airways while sanding.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
