Eduard 1:32 F4U-4 Corsair interior: photo-etched set

A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:32 scale intended for detailing the cockpit and interior spaces of the F4U-4 Corsair carrier fighter. This is not an aircraft model, but an accessory that raises the fidelity of the interior on a plastic kit. Pre-painted etched sets are partly printed in advance, which makes rendering the instrument panel and the side consoles easier.

The real subject

The F4U-4 Corsair is an American carrier fighter of the end of the Second World War with its distinctive inverted gull wing. The -4 version received a more powerful engine and a reworked cockpit interior.

Use and fitting

• The pre-painted etched parts are glued straight on and usually need no repainting.
• The bends are made in a bending tool along the scored lines.
• They are bonded with super glue applied in a small amount.
• The corresponding plastic details are removed before fitting.
