1:32 F/A-18F Super Hornet is a set of 3D textured instrument panels from Red Fox Studio on decal paper for the two-seat cockpit of the model in 1:32 scale. Intended for Trumpeter kits.

The set replaces a bare plastic interior with a colored panel carrying printed relief. The elements are on decal paper, so they are soaked off, slid on the wet base and settled into place; they are neither glued nor sanded. The result is a cockpit with legible displays and lettering that hand painting could not match. The set is intended for Trumpeter kits.
The two-seat version is a typical representative of the so-called glass cockpit. Round dials have practically disappeared from it, the main area is taken up by large-area screens completed by a data entry panel above them and standby instruments to the side. The front and rear stations are not the same: the weapon systems officer sits at the rear, at a panel laid out around displays and controls, while only the pilot in front has a head-up display. The side consoles carry long rows of switches and both seats have their own belts. The large one-piece canopy hinges to the rear and leaves the cockpit visible along its whole length, so the difference between the two stations cannot be hidden.
The water should be lukewarm, not hot - a warm bath softens the film before you manage to move it. Dip the element for a few seconds, lift it out and let it release on the paper to one side; only then take it over to the model. Polish the base beforehand with a gloss varnish and keep it wet, so that the panel under the displays can be fine-tuned to a tenth of a millimeter. The areas of the screens must have no air underneath: press the surplus water out with a cotton swab from the center outward and check by the reflection of the light whether a silvery veil is forming anywhere. With these thicker films use decal softener only in spots, on edges and transitions, and do not touch the element after applying it until it has dried.
