A detail cockpit set for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. This is a resin accessory that replaces the basic cabin interior from a plastic kit with a more faithful, finely detailed whole: the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat and the control levers.
The Fw 190D-9, nicknamed the Dora, was a late version of the famous German fighter aircraft of the Second World War period. Compared with the radial-engined A versions it received the inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213 engine with its characteristic extended long nose, which improved its performance at greater altitudes.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the resin parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The interior comes out well after painting and a fine emphasis on the details with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
