This set from the Czech maker Eduard brings photo-etched steel seat belts with a color print for a model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a standalone model but a detail accessory for the cockpit, which replaces flat plastic belts, or belts that are missing altogether, with a true metal substitute.
Steel etch is stronger and holds its shape better than the usual brass, so the belts drape realistically over the seat and keep the impression of sagging fabric. The color print captures the shades of the straps and of the fittings, so only a light tidy-up is needed after fitting.
Separate the belts from the fret carefully, shape them with tweezers into a natural fold and attach them with a tiny drop of super glue. Handle the printed parts gently so that the colored surface is not damaged; an acrylic applied with a brush is enough to touch in the edges.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
