This AML set makes it possible to render the Heinkel He 219 night fighter in the A-0 version with the R6 fit, or as the A-2 version. The enclosed decals add period markings to the machine. It is an accessory for a base He 219 model in 1:32 scale - you will not find the aircraft itself in the box, as the set only converts it to the chosen version.
The He 219 was created as a specialized night fighter and went down in aviation history among other things as the first aircraft built in series with ejection seats. Power came from Daimler-Benz DB 603 twelve-cylinder engines, and the crew consisted of a pilot and a radio operator sitting back to back. The letter R in the designation refers to the factory Rüstsatz equipment kits, with which aircraft were adapted to particular combat tasks.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting so that the surface holds the paint well. Plan the joints in advance and glue the larger units on step by step so that everything fits without strain. Apply a gloss coat under the decals and, once they are settled, fix the whole thing with a final coat according to the finish you have chosen. Mix the shades of the night camouflage with a small reserve for later touching up.
