LööKplus is an Eduard bundle whose core is a finished resin instrument panel joined by steel seat harnesses and extended with further accessories for the same kit. It is not a kit of the aircraft: the Hurricane model in 1:32 scale is obtained separately, and this set serves to refine it. Check the exact make-up of the bundle and the number of parts against the packaging. The addition in the name specifies the version of the subject with exhausts widened into the shape of a fish tail.
The Hurricane Mk.II was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine with a two-speed supercharger, which improved performance at altitude over the early machines. The Mk.IIb version carried twelve 7.7 mm machine guns in the wing, while the variant with cannons belongs to a different letter. The aircraft's structure was based on a steel tube framework with fabric covering over the rear fuselage, which is clearly apparent when building in a large scale. Exhausts widened into the shape of a fish tail appeared on later machines and are a rewarding recognition feature.
Wash the resin panel first in lukewarm water with a detergent, to clear it of mold release agent residue, otherwise neither glue nor paint will hold on it. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc, not with pliers, and level the surface with a file. Try the panel dry in the cockpit before gluing and, if need be, adjust the bulkheads of the kit rather than the part from the set. Glue with super glue in a minimal amount. Do not overcoat the printed surfaces of the panel; if you want a protective varnish, choose a matte one in a thin layer. Anneal the steel harnesses gently by passing them over a flame before forming, so they hold the bend and do not spring back.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
