The resin accessory 1:32 I-153 Chaika bomb racks from the manufacturer Quickboost replaces the bomb racks on a model of the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 biplane in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail set for improving one.

Quickboost is a supplementary range from the manufacturer Aires aimed at simple, quickly usable resin parts that solve one particular detail of a model. This set brings the racks for the underwing bomb load of the I-153 biplane in 1:32 scale. The cast parts have sharper edges and a finer surface than injection-molded plastic and do without assembly from photo-etch, so this is an improvement within reach of less experienced modelers as well. The set by itself is not a kit but an accessory for a finished model.
The Polikarpov I-153, nicknamed Chaika after its gull-cranked upper wing, was the last production Soviet fighter biplane. It grew out of the I-15bis type but received retractable landing gear and a more powerful radial engine. It was built in series from the end of the 1930s and saw action among other places at Khalkhin Gol and in the first period of the war on the Eastern Front, where it could no longer hold its own against monoplanes. It gradually moved into the ground-attack and reconnaissance role, and that is exactly what the armament carried under the lower wing served for, namely light bombs or unguided rockets.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Separate them from the casting block with a cutting disc or a fine saw and level the surface with wet-and-dry paper. They are glued with super glue, ideally a gel one, which gives you time to set the position. Before gluing, mark the spacing and the axis of the racks accurately on the wing; on a biplane any asymmetry shows at once. Do the painting before fitting them under the wing, because the detail is hard to reach later.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
