Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American aircraft carrier USS Yorktown CV-10 from the manufacturer Trumpeter in 1:700 scale. According to the instructions, the model can be built with a full hull on a stand or as a waterline. Carrier aircraft are usually included as well; for the exact contents of the package and any photo-etched parts, go by the instruction sheet enclosed and the markings on the box. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Yorktown was an aircraft carrier of the Essex class, the backbone of the US Navy in the war in the Pacific. She carried dozens of carrier aircraft and took part in a number of operations against the Japanese Empire. She was nicknamed the Fighting Lady and became one of the best known ships of her class; today she is a museum ship. The kit captures her appearance in the period of the Second World War.
With large carriers, finish the hull and the hangar deck first, and only then fit the island (the superstructure) and the flight deck. Paint the flight deck and the camouflage scheme (Measure) separately and accent the lines of the deck with a thin wash. Fit the small aircraft and guns only at the end, ideally with super glue; add the photo-etched railings and aerials last of all, so that they do not get broken during the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
