An injection-molded plastic kit of the early version of the German dive bomber Junkers Ju 87A Anton in the large scale of 1:32 from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The large scale comes into its own on the characteristic inverted gull wing and the massive fairings of the fixed landing gear. The kit offers a detailed cockpit and clear parts allowing an open as well as a closed canopy. The Ju 87A was the first production version of the famous Stuka (an abbreviation of Sturzkampfflugzeug - dive bomber). It differed from the later versions in a weaker engine, a smaller rudder and above all in the massive fairings of the fixed landing gear. It was deployed in the Spanish Civil War and in the opening phase of the Second World War, where it put the tactics of dive bombing to the test.
Paint and highlight the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. Mask the clear parts before spraying, and you can make use of the option of an open canopy. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush. The crisp panel lines of the Stuka are splendidly suited to highlighting with a wash and to light wear. On large sets Trumpeter often supplies rubber tires and small photo-etched parts to refine the detail; the tires can be replaced by resin ones for a more accurate shape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
