The supplementary set 1:32 KEPD 350K Taurus adds a replica of a modern long-range guided missile to a large model of a combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set extends the armament of a large model with a replica of a guided missile, which the name accompanies with an intended use for a machine of the F-15K type. The large scale makes it possible to capture detail of shape that disappears in smaller dimensions, so the missile comes across as an object in its own right and not as a mere accessory under the wing.
It is a guided missile intended for an attack on well protected ground objects from a safe distance from the target. It was developed by a European collaboration and the letter K in the designation points to the version introduced in the Republic of Korea Air Force. The construction is angular, with folding wings that open out only after release, so on the pylon the missile looks unusually compact.
The procedure is simple, but the small parts around the tail and the leading edges are fragile, so handle them with tweezers and do not try to straighten them by force. Before painting, rinse the parts and let them dry properly, otherwise the varnish will take hold badly. A gray base spray will show up any shortcomings of the surface; only then comes the top shade and a fine accentuation of the panel lines.
This is not a kit of an aircraft; the set completes a model that you secure separately.
