A detail set, not an airplane model. This is a resin cockpit set for a model of the German Messerschmitt Me 163B Komet rocket fighter in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the cockpit from the box with a faithfully cast tub, instrument panel, side consoles, seat and the characteristic rudder pedals. Intended for experienced modelers.
The cramped cockpit of the rocket-powered Komet has a number of specific details, including the mounting of the propellant tanks alongside the pilot. The resin castings carry sharp relief of the instruments, levers and switches, together with photo-etched parts and a film with the dials. Under an opened canopy this creates a convincing pilot's compartment for this unusual machine.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
