Masking films for the cockpit glazing and the wheels of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 for the large scale, cut to the parts of the Revell kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 was built in the greatest numbers of all forms of the type. Its recognition features are the bulges on the engine cover, which were forced by the larger machine guns replacing the previous caliber. The machine served from 1943 on every front, in the day and the night fighter role, and saw so many production forms that two production Bf 109s of the same designation can look markedly different.
The package covers the sliding part of the cockpit, the windscreen and both wheels. The framing is sharp and right-angled on this type, so inaccurately laid tape is immediately apparent on a finished model; a shape cut out in advance rules that mistake out.
Wash the clear part in lukewarm water with detergent before gluing and let it dry freely in the air. Grease from your fingers tends to be the most common cause of a film giving way on an edge after spraying and the paint running underneath. Once the molding is dry, handle it by the edges or through a glove. Any adhesive residue is wiped off after removal with a cotton swab moistened with clean water.
There is an enormous number of liveries to choose from, from gray and blue machines from the Mediterranean to dark night fighters over home territory. Blotches sprayed freehand, the numerals on the fuselage and the quick identification bands around the rear fuselage all come out well on a large surface, only the glazing has to be reliably closed off by then.
