This resin set replaces the wheels of a model of the German L-4500 heavy truck with a version whose tires are realistically deflected and sit down on the road under the weight of the vehicle. The set does not hold a whole model; it is a detail accessory for a truer stance of the chassis.
The effect of a weighted tire, that is slight flattening where it meets the road, markedly raises the impression of the weight of the vehicle. In dioramas and scenes with a vehicle standing still, a model looks more convincing than it does with the perfectly circular wheels from the box.
Wash the resin wheels free of remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and dry-fit them. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Orient the deflected face downwards, toward the road. Sand with your breathing protected. Painting is the usual sequence: a base coat, a rubber shade, weathering with dust and mud.
This is a resin accessory, not a model of the vehicle. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
