This set from Aires contains a resin correction part for the vertical tail surface (the fin) in 1:32 scale for the MiG-23ML fighter. It is not a model of the aircraft but a replacement part that corrects the shape and the detail of the tail surface where a plastic kit does not match the shape of the real aircraft.
The MiG-23 Flogger was a Soviet fighter with a variable-geometry wing, deployed from the late 1960s. The MiG-23ML version was a lightened fighter variant with improved performance, an upgraded engine and avionics. The shape of the vertical tail surface is among the details that differ from the real aircraft on some models.
The original fin is cut off the model and replaced by the resin part. Wash it to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting block and align the surface. It is glued with super glue; we recommend reinforcing and filling the joint with the plastic. Working with resin calls for respiratory protection while sanding.
