A resin replacement propeller of the Curtiss Electric type in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an upgrade accessory for models of the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter. The precisely cast propeller with a faithful blade shape replaces the plastic part of the basic kit and does away with gluing and cleaning up the individual blades.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the heaviest and bulkiest single-engined fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by an air-cooled radial engine with a turbocharger, and many machines carried the massive broad-bladed Curtiss Electric propeller, whose shape strongly sets the character of a whole model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin propeller and cut off the casting block. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. Prime the blades before painting; a realistic black shade with warning tips will give the model the right look.
The accessory upgrades a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
