The resin detail set Quickboost engine for the P-47D Thunderbolt in 1:32 scale brings a faithful casting of the radial engine for an open cowling front.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Quickboost in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a faithful casting of the front of the radial engine for a matching kit of the American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter. The resin casting captures the arrangement of the cylinders and the small lines more accurately than a split plastic part and lifts the impression of the model considerably when you look into the cowling. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was a massive American fighter and fighter-bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by the air-cooled Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp eighteen-cylinder radial with a turbocharger, thanks to which the aircraft excelled at high altitude and in the ground-attack role. The front of the engine fills the whole frontal area of the cowling and is clearly visible.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. The engine comes out once the metal shades are painted and the cylinders brought out with a wash and a dry brush.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
