P-51D Mustang seat with safety belts is a resin seat with cast seat belts in 1:32 scale from the Quickboost brand. It replaces the seat from the kit without your having to assemble the belts from photo-etched metal.

This is a separate resin part, not an aircraft kit. The pilot's seat has the safety belts cast directly with the body of the seat, including the natural sag of the straps and the buckles indicated. That does away with the most laborious part of improving a cockpit, that is, assembling and shaping the belts from photo-etched metal. Quickboost is an accessory range of the Czech manufacturer Aires focused on quick one-piece improvements. In 1:32 scale the seat is a prominent element, because it is clearly visible from an open cockpit.
The P-51D Mustang was an American single-engine fighter from the end of the Second World War, famous for its long range and its role as an escort fighter for bomber formations. It was powered by the Merlin V12 built under license in the United States, and the armament consisted of 12.7 mm machine guns in the wing. The D version was given a bubble canopy and a cut-down rear fuselage, thanks to which the pilot had an excellent view to the rear. It is precisely the clearly visible cockpit that makes a quality seat one of the most rewarding improvements to a model.
Wash the part in warm water with a drop of detergent so that the mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface on sandpaper, sanding wet and with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the frame of the seat and the belts separately; the buckles can be suggested with silver paint applied with the tip of a brush. The sag of the straps comes out after a dark wash run into the folds and a gentle lightening of the edges by drybrushing.
This is an accessory part, not an aircraft model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
