The Su-27 is a Soviet heavy fighter, Flanker in NATO reporting-name terms. It has two engines set well apart, between them a lifting fuselage that blends smoothly into the wing, and a pair of vertical tails. The version known as Flanker B is the single-seat one and became the basis of the whole later family. In 1:32 scale it makes a substantial piece of model on which every accessory shows.
The set is an accessory to a finished kit, not a standalone model. The name ties it to the Su-27 model in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The extent of the set, the list of parts and the order of assembly are in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them for any modification of the kit parts as well.
Wash and degrease the accessory parts before fitting them; paint and glue then hold considerably better. Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder back, so that the mating surface stays flat. Try everything dry before you reach for the glue. If the set holds colored film elements, follow the manufacturer's instructions when applying them; the procedure differs between individual ranges.
