A Snap Kit (assembly without glue) of the Toyota 86 sports coupe in 1:32 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima, this time in a bright blue finish. The parts are molded directly in color, so the model needs neither gluing nor painting; you put it together by simply snapping the parts into each other. An ideal first kit, where the result arrives quickly and without special equipment.
In 2012 the Toyota 86 brought the attainable old-school sports coupe back to the market: a flat-four engine at the front, rear-wheel drive, a low center of gravity and a weight that lets the driver work with the car instead of the electronics. It was developed together with Subaru and quickly gained cult status among those who drive for the pleasure of it. The name refers to the legendary AE86.
Separate the parts from the sprues with sharp nippers as close to the part as possible and level the gate mark with a fine file; on colored plastic a clean cut shows. Try each joint dry before you snap it and press evenly until the part seats firmly. Anyone who wants to take the model further can pick out details such as the door handles or the wipers with a marker, but it is not necessary.
The model is supplied unassembled; the parts are molded in color and the build needs no glue or paints. Accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
