This is not a kit. The set holds interior elements printed in a 3D texture onto decal paper and is applied as a wet decal, not as a glued part. A set of the same name also exists for a kit from another maker, so take care over the choice: this one is cut for the Trumpeter kit.
The F4U-1D version has a raised seat and a canopy without crossbars compared with the early machines, so the cockpit can be seen incomparably better. That has a consequence: on this subject it is not enough to deal with the instrument panel alone. The Corsair has a cockpit without a continuous floor, the pilot has structure under his feet and the walls are lined with a mass of pipes, rods and boxes. The panel itself is wide, with a large group of round instruments in the middle and a gunsight above it.
With an interior of this extent the plan matters most. Do not cut the whole sheet up in advance — always cut out only the element you are about to apply, so that the small parts do not get lost or mixed up. Work from the deepest places to the shallowest: first the side walls and boxes, then the floor section, and the instrument panel last of all. Let each element dry before you lean on the neighboring surface. Keep the rest of the sheet dry and out of reach of a damp brush, otherwise the adhesive is activated prematurely.
