The boxing captures the car in ADVAN colors as it looked when it won the Rally of Canberra in 1999. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; check the actual contents of the box and the extent of the decal sheet against the box.
The Lancer Evolution VI is the peak of the second generation of the competition Evolution line of the late 1990s. The basis is a compact sedan with a turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive, complemented by torque distribution between the axles and aggressive aerodynamics, that is, pronounced front bumpers with large cooling openings and a rear wing. In competition form the car also has a roll cage, seats with multipoint harnesses and a modified chassis. At that time the Rally of Canberra belonged to the Asia-Pacific circuit.
Rally cars stand on their decals. The sponsor markings cover large areas and often run across edges and panel gaps, so apply them onto a perfectly glossy coat, work them with a softener and let them settle overnight. Spray the base body color in thin coats, because every imperfection shows through under large decals. Build and paint the interior with the roll cage before the body is closed up. You can dust the chassis and the wheels lightly with pigments, but on a model of a winning car it pays to keep the weathering in check so that the markings stay legible.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
