This is not an aircraft kit but a resin detail set, replacement wheels for models of the Westland Whirlwind Mk.I in 1:32 scale. Cast resin wheels tend to be more crisply done than the plastic parts from the box and offer a faithful structure of both tires and hubs.
The Westland Whirlwind Mk.I was a British single-seat twin-engine fighter from the beginning of the Second World War. It stood out for heavy onboard armament concentrated in the nose and for good performance at low altitude, but it was built in limited numbers only and served with a few Royal Air Force squadrons.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the resin wheels, cut the casting blocks off carefully and smooth the surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection while sanding resin. Paint the wheels and add a light patina of dust and mud to the tires.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
