A set for a display with the preparation of a Luftwaffe aircraft for flight: ground crew for handling bombs, a bomb trolley and an SC 250 bomb in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SC 250 bomb belonged to the basic German armament for dropping from aircraft. The number 250 designates the weight class in kilograms, not a caliber. Hanging such a piece under a wing or a fuselage was not work for one man: the bomb had to be brought up on a trolley and only under the aircraft was it raised to the rack. It is exactly this scene from an airfield surface that the set offers.
The set brings three parts together. The figures capture Luftwaffe ground crew handling bombs. The trolley serves to move the bomb to the aircraft and to raise it. The SC 250 bomb itself rounds the display out as the load. The exact number of parts and the order of assembly are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the area down. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. The figures are painted in thin layers with shadow in the folds, whereas the bomb and the trolley will bear a smooth spray with subsequent dirtying, so that they do not come across as new on an airfield surface.
For modelers who build an airfield scene with people and hardware around an aircraft. Unless stated otherwise, the aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery.
