A resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost range (part of the Czech company Aires). It is a set of the side air intakes of the supersonic Northrop F-5E and the two-seat F-5F Tiger II. The casting brings deep, correctly shaped openings, which plastic parts usually do not reach.
The F-5E/F Tiger II is a light supersonic fighter with a pair of side air intakes for its engines. Shallow or blanked-off openings tend to be a weakness of kits, which the resin set solves with deep, cleanly made intakes. Once glued on and painted, the nose of the model looks more realistic.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and check the fit with a dry run; sometimes the mating surfaces need a little sanding (with respiratory protection). They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The inside of the intakes is usually white or light gray, with the depth lightly shaded.
A resin accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
