Six transport pallets in 1:72 scale from SX-Art. A prop for airfield aprons, ramps and store scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for dioramas in 1:72 scale: six transport pallets. It is not a model of any equipment, but a prop that is placed around finished machines and figures.
In a small scale one striking object does not work; repetition does. Six pallets are just enough for a stack by a hangar, a row laid out along a wall and still a couple of pieces left lying loose on a ramp. An airfield apron, a store or a railway transfer point thus gains the depth that an empty base board would never have.
On an area of a few millimeters, detail is not painted but suggested. Paint with more contrast than would seem right, because fine shades run together into a single gray when seen from a distance. A light wood base, a dark shade run into the gaps and dry brushing on the edges are enough. Glue the stacks together as one piece beforehand and only then seat them, so that they keep level. Dusting the lower edges ties them to the terrain and they stop looking like objects laid on top. If you set one pallet at an angle and leave another leaning against a wall, the whole arrangement loses the look of a regular grid. In a small scale, irregularity is more convincing than the finest rendering of boards.
