A set of small arms from the MP5 and G3 family in 1:35 scale. It will fill out the armament of figures, the equipment in the cargo bed of a vehicle or the detail of a diorama.

Weapons are a small thing in a diorama that the viewer notices among the first. Figures from kits tend to be armed only with what the manufacturer put in with them, and a weapon laid aside or slung in the interior of a vehicle is missing altogether. A separate set of weapons fills that space: it can be put into a figure's hands, hung on a frame, propped against a crate or laid on a seat, and the scene gains a reason why the crew is in it.
The MP5 is a German submachine gun of 9 mm caliber, the G3 a battle rifle of 7.62 mm caliber. Both weapons grew from a common design basis, both saw a whole family of variants with different barrel lengths and different equipment, and both spread into the armament of armies and police forces all over the world. That is exactly why they make sense in scenes of the last few decades, whether they involve military vehicles or tactical units. In 1:35 scale a rifle about a meter long comes out at not quite three centimeters.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the rest, so as not to damage the fine relief. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Lay the paint on in thin coats, because a thick coat floods the gun sights and the grooves alike. You will bring metal surfaces to life with a light pass of a dry brush over the edges, but keep the sheen in check, because a matte surface comes across more believably than a glossy one.
