An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. The model captures the 37 mm Bofors anti-tank gun on its own - it is a gun, not a vehicle. The box contains around 50 parts on two sprues, photo-etched parts (among them the armor shields and brackets) and decals for two options. Crew figures are not included. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The 37 mm Bofors anti-tank gun was developed by the Swedish Bofors works in the early 1930s and exported to a number of countries. In the early phases of the Second World War it was a widespread and effective anti-tank weapon against the light and medium tanks of the day. British units used it as well, among other places in the North African desert.
A small gun model rewards careful assembly; glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the fine photo-etch (above all the thin armor shields) with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush according to the markings you choose. Bring out the engraved detail and the mechanism with a dark wash and the edges with dry brushing. The gun works splendidly in a diorama, on its own on a base, or together with a vehicle and completed by crew figures (not included).
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
