Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:35 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American AH-1W SuperCobra attack helicopter. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The AH-1W SuperCobra is an American twin-engine attack helicopter that served from the 1980s above all with the US Marine Corps. It was built for anti-armor work and direct fire support of ground units, and it carried guided missiles, unguided rockets and a cannon in a nose turret. The twin-engine layout gave it the power and the toughness for service over the battlefield and from the decks of amphibious ships.
Clean and degrease the glazing before painting. Lift the masks carefully off the backing, lay them on the cockpit frames and press them so that they adhere into the edges. Fill the small gaps between the frames with a piece of tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers so that it does not creep under the edge. The masks for the wheels and hubs give you a crisp separation of tire from rim. Once dry, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
