Responsibility details are not available.
The figure of an Australian tank crewman with the sequence designation No. 2 is the second of the pair of Australian tank crew figures from Black Dog in 1:35 scale. The sequence number sets it apart from the version with number one, but the manufacturer nowhere states the particular difference in pose or equipment.
One figure brings a vehicle to life; two give it a story. As soon as there are two figures, the direction of the gaze starts to work in the composition: the pair can be talking, one can be pointing and the other watching where. For this purpose it is best to give each figure a different height, one in a hatch, the other standing on the hull, because a difference in eye level immediately breaks the symmetry and the scene stops looking static.
When you build both versions side by side, paint them at the same time and from the same pots of paint. Leave the difference between one figure and the other to the skin tone and to small items such as gloves or goggles, not to the tone of the clothing. Finally, seat both figures on the vehicle before the last breath of dust, so that the effect carries across the figures and the model without a visible dividing line. Only then does it make sense to deal with the sheen, which with a pair of figures gives inconsistency away faster than anything else.
