Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet strategic bomber Tu-95MS with the NATO reporting name Bear-H in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is a very large and demanding model with a great wingspan, a high part count, a detailed cockpit and clear parts for the glazing. Because of its size, count on plenty of room both for building and for display. Check the exact package contents and the number of parts against the enclosed instructions.
The Tupolev Tu-95, NATO reporting name Bear, is a Soviet strategic bomber and one of the few large combat aircraft powered by turboprop engines with contra-rotating propellers. It stands out for its swept wings and its exceptional range. The Tu-95MS version is a carrier of cruise missiles and represents one of the pillars of the Soviet, and later Russian, strategic forces. The machine entered service in the 1950s and still flies today in modernized versions.
Given the size, give attention to a firm bond of the main fuselage and wing parts with liquid cement for plastic, and glue the fine and clear parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint and complete the cockpit and the glazing before closing them up, and protect the transparent parts with a mask. Large surfaces are better painted with an airbrush over a good base, and the panel lines are best picked out with a subtle wash. Fit the contra-rotating propellers and the landing gear at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
