A set of tiny equipment for models of vehicles in 1:35 scale. The year given in the name falls into the time when the pressed portable container for fuel was establishing itself with British units. The quantity according to the name comes to twelve pieces, and the supplier is GasPatch models.
The British at first carried gasoline in thin-walled four-gallon tins that tore open during transport over rutted roads, and the losses of fuel were felt. Experience from the desert campaign therefore led to adopting a firmer solution modeled on captured German containers. The British form has its own shape of handles and a differently worked closure, so an experienced eye will not mistake them on a model for the real subject from the other side of the front.
The containers were carried by the dozen: in wire baskets on the fenders, stacked on a cargo bed, lashed at the rear. When you place them into a scene, let them look like a real load, turned in various ways, some of them dustier than the rest. Spray the base in a sand or olive shade according to the battlefield, add thin scrapes on the edges and finally settle dust with a dry pigment from the bottom upward. Spilled fuel is suggested by a dark streak running down from the neck.
