Decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals, focused on the markings of the British reconnaissance units in Northwest Europe in 1944 and 1945. Four vehicles the set is cut for are named in the name: the White SC, Cromwell, Staghound and Dingo.
Reconnaissance regiments had a different task from tank units: to make contact with the enemy, find out his strength and report it on, not to fight a decisive action. The equipment matched that. The Cromwell was a fast cruiser tank and in the reconnaissance regiments of the armored divisions served as the heavier part of the lineup. The Staghound was a sturdy wheeled armored car of American manufacture introduced with British units. The Dingo is a diminutive two-seat scout car with a low armored hull tub, built for speed and inconspicuousness. The White SC is an open wheeled scout car used for liaison and as a command vehicle.
Smaller vehicles mean smaller and more broken surfaces, so cut the decals out as close to the design as you can: every extra millimeter of clear film shows on a small area. On rounded fenders and sloping armor work in parts and press a marking down with a damp cloth from the center toward the edges, so that no air bubble forms. Reconnaissance vehicles tended to be dusty from use, so take the patina mainly over the wheels and the lower part of the hull.
