Cardboard boxes with electronics graphics in 1:35 scale

A set of printed fold-up boxes from Matho Models, a specialist in diorama accessories and materials. On the sheet you will find the flattened shells of cardboard boxes with the full-color graphics of consumer electronics packaging. You cut out the individual boxes, fold them along the marked edges and glue them into three-dimensional form. The result is small props that faithfully imitate ordinary shipping cartons and give a 1:35 scene its everyday civilian atmosphere.

Use in a diorama

Boxes of electronics suit modern subjects above all: a shop window or interior, a warehouse, a loading dock beside a truck, the bed of a van, a garage or a city alley with goods stacked up. They also work superbly as a load on a pallet next to modern military vehicles. When building, cut with a sharp modeling knife against a steel ruler and lightly score the edges with the blunt side of the blade before folding, so that the folds are straight and crisp. Glue with a small amount of PVA or a glue stick; super glue can soak through the paper and leave stains. The finished boxes can be lightly dusted with pigment or given a coat of matte varnish so that the print blends with the rest of the scene. The boxes can also be left half open or deformed, as though they had been used.
