An officer of a Czechoslovak dragoon regiment as a figure in 1:35 scale, in his 1936 form. Suitable for scenes from the army of the First Republic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The cavalry of the Czechoslovak army of the First Republic included, among others, dragoon regiments. The figure captures one of their officers in his 1936 form, that is, from the time when the army was going through extensive modernization. It is a subject for anyone building scenes set in the home country in the 1930s.
A single figure can do a great deal for a scene: it gives a diorama scale, directs the viewer's eye and explains what is going on in it. In 1:35 scale an adult figure stands about five centimeters tall, so it is easy to add to vehicles, guns and buildings built in that scale.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the surface back smooth. Then wash and degrease the surface, so that the paint holds. Build the uniform up from a base tone, brighten the edges and put shadow into the folds. Leave the face and the small items of equipment until the end and work with a fine brush. The assembly sequence and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
It will be appreciated by builders of interwar dioramas and by collectors looking for less usual home-country subjects. Paints, glue and a base are not included, unless stated otherwise.
