Figure of a German Afrikakorps tank crewman with a pipe in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, a resin casting for you to assemble and paint yourself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale, the manufacturer's part number FI35-070. It represents a member of a German tank crew in North Africa in a relaxed pose with a pipe. The abbreviation DAK in the manufacturer's name stands for Deutsches Afrikakorps, the German Africa Corps.
The Deutsches Afrikakorps operated in North Africa from February 1941 to May 1943 and its backbone was the Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks. Crews wore tropical kit of light cloth, often just a short-sleeved shirt, with a cloth cap or a tropical helmet and sand goggles around the neck. Resting in a camouflage net beside the vehicle is one of the most common scenes in desert dioramas, because it shows the whole figure, not just the upper half in a hatch.
Degrease the castings before the primer coat; the mold release agent from the mold only shows on resin once it has been painted. Cut the casting blocks, do not snap them off, and do not breathe in the sanding dust. Use super glue for the joints and fill the seams with two-part putty. Figures of this class only stand out above a vehicle once you give them the same degree of weathering as the hull, otherwise they will look stuck on.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
