The Industrial Hangars base from RT-Diorama is diorama groundwork for 1:35 scale with the subject of industrial halls. It is not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft but a setting: the modeler places their own vehicles, figures and accessories into it, and only then does the scene acquire its action.
Hall building has one great advantage for a diorama, and that is the large opening. The gates of a hall make it possible to show a vehicle half inside and half outside, which is far more interesting in composition than a vehicle standing freely on an open area. That creates a tunnel of view into the depth and at the same time a natural frame around the main model. Hall buildings also suit a wide variety of views: a repair shop, a store, a standing area, improvised quarters for a crew and an abandoned, decaying works without a single figure.
The basic decision with a hall is whether the viewer will look inside or not. If so, the view needs room for a line of sight into the opening, so do not place the vehicles exactly in front of the gates but slightly to one side. Try the layout out dry and look at the scene from the eye level of a viewer at the display case rather than from above. It also pays to allow for the lighting: light falls away quickly in the depth of a hall opening, so anything that is meant to be seen belongs toward the edge rather than at the back.
