A photo-etched plate with overall dimensions of 100x50 mm with an engraved lentil pattern that imitates anti-slip plate. It is not a kit, nor a set for one particular model, but a material: out of the plate you cut only the areas you need to cover on your model. Hauler is a Czech maker of photo-etched accessories.
Anti-slip plate appears on the walking surfaces of equipment, on platforms, steps, bridging pieces and in interiors. Injection-molded plastic can express it only in a simplified way, whereas a photo-etched plate holds a sharp relief even after painting, and the shadow in the pattern makes the surface optically richer. A patterned plate comes into its own just as well away from equipment - as the floor of a workshop, the platform of a crane or a hatch in a diorama.
The surest procedure is to make a paper template first. Trace the area on the model, cut the template out, lay it on the plate and only then cut with a scalpel along a ruler; that way you avoid cutting up a needlessly large piece. Level the cut edges with a fine file. The plate is glued with super glue applied in a thin layer onto the ground, not onto the photo-etch, or the glue will be squeezed out into the pattern and the relief will be flooded. Degrease both surfaces before gluing, and do not forget a primer for metal when painting. Apply the paint in thin coats, because a heavy coat will close the pattern up.
