A figure in 1:35 scale from Dynamo-Models, named Nicole in the name and placed in the French Resistance range. It is meant for dioramas from occupied France and for scenes in which a civilian figure is to stand alongside soldiers.
Women made up a substantial part of the French resistance movement and their role was often one a man could not fill. They acted as couriers carrying messages, as guides taking people across the demarcation line, as keepers of hiding places for downed airmen and as observers of troop movements. Precisely because they moved in an entirely civilian setting, their appearance was ordinary: a dress or a skirt with a sweater, a coat, simple shoes and a bag or a bicycle, which at the time belonged to the basic equipment of everyday life. In a scene this inconspicuousness works as a contrast to the uniforms.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry. If you paint the figure, the small areas of civilian clothing can take stronger color than a uniform, but choose shades that are faded rather than cleanly saturated. Build the hair from a darker base and lighten it strand by strand. The face is best painted in several thinned layers, where the shadow is formed by a darker tone of the skin. The figure comes out well by the wall of a house, beside a bicycle, at a shop window or in a pair with another civilian figure.
