A detail add-on set from the AFV Club brand in 1:35 scale with faithful German ammunition of 88 mm caliber for the long-barreled L/71 version. The set combines turned metal parts in brass and aluminum, so the rounds and cartridge cases have a natural metallic look. It is not a vehicle model, but an addition with which you bring an ammunition scene or a fighting compartment to life.
The 88 mm caliber in the long-barreled L/71 form was among the most effective German anti-tank and tank weapons of the Second World War. This ammunition goes with the Pak 43 series of anti-tank guns as well as with vehicles such as the tank destroyers and heavy tanks carrying the KwK 43 gun. An accurate rendering of the long rounds adds a great deal to the character of these weapons.
Separate the metal parts and clean them up. Brass and aluminum both have a metallic look of their own; it is enough to degrease them and, if wanted, tone or weather them gently. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Set the rounds out in crates, in racks or beside the weapon for a convincing scene.
This is an add-on ammunition set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
