An accurate turned metal barrel and additional parts for building the Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang tank destroyer in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. This is not a model of the vehicle, but a detail upgrade set that replaces the plastic barrel and part of the breech of the main gun with more accurate metal parts. The turned barrel faithfully reproduces the long 7.5 cm gun with a length of 70 calibers, it has a smooth surface with no mold seam and the laborious sanding is no longer needed.
Besides the turned metal barrel, the set brings separate breech parts, a handwheel and counterweights. The counterweights are movable and, thanks to the poly caps inserted in them, they allow the gun to be elevated and traversed even after the build is finished. The set is intended as an accessory for the plastic Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang kit from Tamiya, whose plastic barrel it replaces.
Bond the metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before gluing and painting and apply a metal primer so that the paint adheres well. The barrel and the breech are then painted to match the rest of the vehicle.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The basic kit, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
