The subject is a German tankman in 1:35 scale, that is in the most widespread size for models of armored vehicles. Thanks to that it can be combined with vehicles, diorama accessories and other figures in the same scale without the proportions standing out. It is sold on its own and is not part of a larger set.
A vehicle without people comes across as a museum exhibit. A single figure at a hatch or beside a track immediately reveals how big the machine is and gives the scene a direction of view and a story. With a tankman, leaning out of the turret hatch suggests itself, a position that is clearly visible on a finished model and which at the same time covers a less successful spot in the interior.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, taking care over the fine edges of the equipment. Before painting, wash and degrease the figure, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. Proceed from the base through a darker shade in the shadows to a lighter one on the raised places; leave the face and the hands until the end, because they decide the final impression. Finally, even the surface out with a matte clear coat, so that the uniform does not shine.
