This is not a kit but a set of brass photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the French Hotchkiss H39 light tank in 1:35 scale. It adds and replaces features that can only be molded in a simplified form in plastic.
The photo-etched parts add fine exterior detail - thin fender edges, grilles, brackets, tie-downs, stowage baskets and tools - that give the model a more accurate and more convincing look in scale. It is the classic way of lifting a mass-produced plastic model to collector standard.
The parts are broken out of the fret, cleaned up and bent to the drawing (a photo-etch bender and tweezers help). They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with primer; the set comes bare and is painted together with the model.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
