The painting mask set New Ware Mk.82 - two stripes in 1:48 scale makes it easy to spray the colored marking stripes accurately on the Mk.82 bombs under the A-6 and A-7 attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of self-adhesive painting masks (kabuki tape), not a model. The masks serve for spraying the two colored stripes with which the filling of Mk.82 aircraft bombs was marked. The set is made for Mk.82 bombs from the usual kits in 1:48 scale and can also be used on other matching bombs.
The Mk.82 is an American aircraft bomb weighing around 500 pounds (about 227 kg), a widespread store on carrier attack aircraft. The colored stripes on the body of the bomb carry information about the type of filling, which is why rendering them convincingly matters for the realistic look of the stores.
The bomb is first sprayed in the base shade, then the edges of the stripes are covered with the precisely cut masks and the second color is sprayed over them. The masks hold reliably around the curved body and guarantee sharp edges with no bleeding. One set has enough parts to paint several bombs.
These are painting masks, not a model. The bombs, the paints and a kit are not included in the package.
