1:48 F-86F Sabre, cockpit mask for the windscreen and the bubble canopy of the American fighter from the Korean War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The cut masks cover the windscreen and the bubble canopy of the legendary American fighter. Thanks to their precise shape a sharp boundary between the paint of the frame and the clear area is left once they come off.
The North American F-86 Sabre was the first production American fighter with a swept wing and the main opponent of the MiG-15 in the area the airmen nicknamed MiG Alley. The F version received a more powerful engine and during production also a revised wing leading edge without slats, thanks to which the machine improved its agility at high altitude. After the Korean War the Sabre spread into the service of many other states and stayed in use for many years more.
The canopy itself has minimal framing, but the windscreen with its flat bulletproof panel and triangular side panes is sensitive to masking. Do not forget to cover the frame where the canopy seats against the fuselage either. Free the transparent parts of grease before spraying, otherwise the mask may resist as it comes off and pull a layer of paint with it. On the real machine the frame at the seating line often has a different shade from the surrounding skin, so spray it separately and only once the base coat has dried.
