IDF Shot Kal Dalet 1:35, a photo-etched detail set from Voyager Model for the Israeli main battle tank of the 1980s. The brass photo-etched parts raise the detail of a plastic kit; it is not a model of the vehicle on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass photo-etched basic detail set in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The set is meant for the Israeli IDF Shot Kal Dalet main battle tank of the 1980s and serves to refine and raise the detail of a plastic kit. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory, a detail set that replaces or adds to selected plastic parts with fine photo-etched items. It holds fenders, grilles, tie-down loops, lifting eyes and other fine sheet parts.
The Shot Kal is the Israeli upgraded version of the British Centurion tank. Israel used the designation Shot for its Centurions, the Kal variant received an American engine and a new transmission, and Dalet stands for a later stage of development. These machines made their mark during the fighting in Lebanon in 1982.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the edges. Use a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler for the bends, so as to get sharp, straight edges. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, remove the excess and degrease the joints before spraying. It is best to spray the brass with a primer for better adhesion of the coats that follow.
The photo-etched accessory calls for a matching plastic kit in 1:35 scale, which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
