A scenic accessory for creating tropical vegetation in 1:35 dioramas from the Belgian maker Matho Models. It is not a kit but a sheet of very thin photo-etched brass (0.10 mm) with finely etched jungle plants, leaf veining included. Pattern C extends the Jungle Plants range with further species, so that by combining sheets you can create dense and varied greenery.
Paint the plants in saturated shades while they are still on the fret, then cut them out and clean up the edges. Shape the leaves with tweezers into a natural curve and fix them in the scene, if needed with thin green wire. Touch in the bare brass and tone down the final sheen with matte varnish; layering with pigments gives you the depth of rainforest growth.
