An L7 gun barrel for the Israeli Shot Kal tank in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. An accessory for the first Israeli form of the Centurion.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 105 millimeter gun barrel for the Israeli Shot Kal tank in its first form, in 1:35 scale. It replaces the plastic barrel of a kit and removes the parting line as well as the risk that the barrel will not be straight once glued. On a tank with a weapon this long, a straight axis is the condition for the model not to look crooked.
The Shot Kal was an Israeli tank based on the British Centurion. The Israelis rearmed it with a 105 millimeter gun and in later versions replaced the powerplant as well, turning a slow machine into a usable battle tank. A gun of this caliber became the standard of Western tanks for decades and was carried by a whole range of types.
Degrease the barrel and dry-fit it in the gun mantlet, and only then bond it with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Apply a primer to metal, otherwise the finish rubs off. Play the Israeli desert shade with a lighter tone on the horizontal surfaces and darken the muzzle. Bring out the fume extractor and its transition to the barrel with dry brushing.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
